After some back and forth, I'm thrilled to announce that all five episodes of our show Matt & Megan are finally available on Amazon Prime Video! Binge the series to support independent filmmaking!
Ironically, we can't do our annual Not So Dearly Departed Show, an event where Alaska comedians pretend they're dead and read their own eulogies, in person because we'd all very much like to survive COVID-19. But we can have it online! Just pretend we're contacting you from beyond the grave by possessing your computer. Click the image for the Facebook event.
Typically this time of year is when we'd have our annual Summer School for Drunks comedy show. Of course we can't do that now because of COVID-19. But we can follow the lead of real schools and go online! So have a drink and maybe learn a few things with your favorite Alaska comedians all from the comfort of your own home at Distance Learning for Drunks! Click the image for the Facebook event.
It was one of my greatest pleasures to interview Jo Koy. They say never meet your heroes, but he was incredibly friendly and gracious with his time. You can either pick up a copy of the Anchorage Daily News for the story, but I recommend checking out the online version as it's a much more in-depth interview than what was printed.
It is with great regret that I have to postpone Home Made Film Nite 2. Due to a recent press release from the Municipality of Anchorage regarding the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, many public spaces are closing its doors, including the Anchorage Museum. All ticket holders will be issued a full refund. I plan to reschedule the event as soon as possible. Thank you all for understanding, and please be safe out there.
Here are the 22 projects showing at Home Made Film Nite 2! The line-up spans a variety of genres and voices making for a night you won't want to miss! Buy tickets through the Facebook event or Eventbrite listing.
Wanna know the best way to beat seasonal depression? Make a movie with your friends!* Spend the winter weeks doing just that, and submit your work to Home Made Film Nite 2 anytime until February 29. Then join us as we watch them together at the Anchorage Museum March 14. Check out the Facebook event page for all the details. *Not actual medical advice. Please don't sue me.
