This Filipino American History Month, I hope you check out the Mana exhibit at the Anchorage Museum starting on October 28. The exhibit features a collection of portraits and stories of Filipino elders from Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau, and Kodiak. I was brought on the Mana content team and had the honor of writing some of the bios. I teared up while listening to all of the interviews to write their stories, and I'd love to be able to share them with all of you.
Here's the line-up of films playing at the Funny Film Fest portion of the ongoing Alaska B4UDie Comedy Festival. It's a great mix of content from Alaska filmmakers and Lower 48 comedians who are in town for the fest. Hope to see some of you at the screening on Saturday, April 8 at 6 p.m. at E Street Theater in downtown Anchorage. Best of all, the show is all ages and free!
